Dog Vegas - Grantham

We had an ok day today our first run was an interesting tunnel packed graded 1-4 jumping designed to make the handler go dizzy we got 5f for knocking a pole as the grass was a little slippery but Bella delt with the tricky pull off really well and finished in a speedy 33.255 sec. Then we had 2 agility runs and where having a lets ping the contacts day oh and what are these weave things again gah!! apart from those bit she did run really well and Im pleased that shes becoming much more controlled and focus. We finished the day off with a 1-2 jumping run with 5f as you guessed it she popped the weaves so back to training with them at the field tomorrow :D We are so close yet so far................................................

Empingham Show

Bella had a lovely time a Empingham yesterday, we had another almost agility run with 5f on the A-Frame contacts, then a 4th place in graded 1-2 jumping even tho I messed up with the handling and she barked at me to tell me off lol and finally we had a lovely clear in combined 1-7 jumping (tho she did rattle the first pole and almost took out the spread on the last). And we finally had a show where we got all our weavies 6 and 12 without me having to help at all hurray !!!!!!

Otley Show

Well we started off the weekend with an E in lvl 1-3 jumping, tunnel pull offs are never going to be our friend, then we had a very messy (bad handling as normal) 1-3 agility with 25 faults 2 poles and weaves think we must have missed both contacts too :o but we managed to finish the day with a stoking almost agility run with 5 faults (my fault again for opening my mouth) in a super speedy 29.668 sec. Then on Sunday we started with a lovely jumping round unfortunately 2 poles down as I insist on turning too quick but still managed it in 25.027 sec, then we had agility which just all went wrong lol 20 faults in 33.178 sec we missed contacts, then the right hand weave entry, then knocked 2 poles never mind I didn't really get the feel of the course when I walked it. The we finished the day with 1-3 jumping unfortunately Bella clipped the last bit of the long jump and cried out so I stopped her run and we finished for the day. Good weekend we managed an awful lot of the weaves without me having to stop so that work is paying off just need to be careful on my timing as hand back too long she pops out don't wait long enough and she misses the entry. I also managed to shut my gob for most of the runs and it felt so much better and I think its suits Bella as she can concentrate instead of listening to me wittering on lol Shame the weather wasn't better but lovely to see some many friendly faces and have a natter :)

Agility Nuts

Bella had her first outing to a show since the end of May due to other things being on so I wasn't sure how we'd both be. Its the first time we have been to Agility Nuts and really enjoyed it. She didn't quite manage a clear but I was really pleased how she ran, the jumping class first thing we had 2 poles down but we have been working really hard on weaves and she did 6 right hand weaves straight into a tunnel which I was so pleased about (she normally skip the weaves for the tunnel). In the agility she missed her weave entry but ran like a dream unfortunately the timer didn't work properly so we had to run again and I thought Id been too far forward on the weave entry so attempt 2 she went clear so at least I know what to do in future and I was pleased with her time of 23.32 sec with 5f on such a hot day. The last class was snakes and ladders I picked the most tricky to test her 12 weaves but dopey me was too far forward again so we had to do them again but she got it and passed a tunnel on either side of her which I was very impressed with and finished 10th with 5f. 

Speedy Agility Update

Oppps I have forgotten to keep this going naughty naughty there is just so much going on in my life I never seem to find the time to keep up but promised myself Id keep this going so that we could look back at all the wonderful things Bella and I have acheived.
Dog Vegas - Easter - Some good runs but still having issues with 12 weaves really need to work on teaching Bella to collect for entry and she pops out
Lincoln AE - We get our first clear round hurray combined 1-2 jumping in 24.73 seconds :D
Dog Vegas - May - We got a 5th place in 1- 4 jumping woooohooo :) now need to do it without faults lol
Weimaraner Show - May - Superb weekend clear in the stteplchase, 7th in combined 1-3 agility our 1st agility clear, and clear in combined 1-3 jumping
DD - May - Oh dear CHS today with 4 E's can't win them all lol
