Dog Vegas Mon 25th April

Well we made it thank goodness it wasn't as hot as Saturday. We started off it a very tight and twisty 1-2 Agility course just our sort of thing we unfortunatly got 5f for dog walk contact although Im pretty sure we got them just need to make sure I get Bella further down so there isn't any doubt. Anyways I was very proud as only 8 dogs managed not to get E'd and there where no clears, we where the fast of those 8 by quite a way which was brilliant and gained Bella 2nd place. Next was a lovely jumping course with a cheeky junnel trap which lots of dogs fell for but Bela ran like a dream I called her off the jump in the tuneel as which point she started barking but she put everthing into the run and flew off down the home straight without me finishing 12 sec faster then the rest of the class and getting a fantastic 1st place. We finished the day off with a lovely jumping course where she left me standing at the start me thinks this doggie is getting even faster!!!! she flew round we attempted the right hand weaves off a right angled jump but she was just going a tad too fast and popped I knew I could have played safe and front crossed for the left but need to prove to myself she can do the tricky entries in shows. So very pleased with her yet again shes just on fire atm and Im really loving the ride :D
Sal had a fantastic day with Kandy 2 1st with 5f but finshed the day with a wonderful clear in jumping winning the class by 11 sec shes not going to be in grade 1 very long thats for sure :D

Dog Vegas 23rd April

We started off the day with a lovely clear in Agility, we are getting a bit good at these thats 3 in 3 weeks lol, really pleased with the run and mega pleased with 2nd place :D Next was agility same course in reverse knew it would be tricky as had to rear cross on A-Frame and we don't quite do those yet I dithered about a bit so she knocked a pole and missed the contacts AHHHH never mind shows how a tiny hesitation from me sends it all pear shaped lol Last run of the day was jumping in a super speedy course so we just went for it as didn't think we'd have a chance of placing but good to enjoy those blasts :D She flew, was clear and surprisingly finished 3rd great finish to the day :D Lickle Wendy also won into grade 2 its going to be a fab year for club :D Unfortunately too much sun = migraine so no show tomorrow :( But back for Monday fingers crossed !!! And just fab news to hear Jules & Jette have won grade 1 agility at Hare N Hounds so we can look forward to a grade 2 labbie party wooohoo :D

Lincoln 16th & 17th April

After a mix up with camping (for some reason when I changed grades they had changed it to say I wasn't coming!!!!) resulting in Sal & I having to share the pitch we got settled. The weather all weekend was glorious sometimes a little too hot!!!
First run on Sat was agility bit of a funny start but managed to get a little wait so I could front cross pick her up to do the line straight, put TWO rear crosses in one worked the other didn't but that's good improvement  ending up 17th. We then went to do jumping but while in the queue noticed the agility combined 1-3 was closing shortly so changed my mind and went to run that instead good choice she did a beautiful clear with a rear cross too ending up 16th in a class of 255 which I'm soo pleased with :D Joined back into the jumping queue while I got my breath and she went clear again getting 5th place we had a lovely rear cross where she pushed out and it gave her a fab line back which we'd of never tried before I'm so enjoying testing things out and pushing her hard. Last run of the day was jumping and we when for it a right hand diagonal start into weaves with a rear cross I was so taken back that she did it so well that I kept talking to her on the home straight so she knocked a pole but best run of the day as she was flying and felt so smooth getting her 17th.
First run on Sunday was agility lovely course the start and finished where double poled, not sure if I set Bella up too close or she got confused thinking it was a spread she really clattered into it but ran the rest really well, getting contacts, with a rear cross to push her out she was ace we where 18th. Next was jumping really fast flowing course but the angle into the weaves was steep if they came in too fast they'd pop out, so my aim we to go out wrap her round my leg to get the entry. We had a slight issue with the 1st jumping not sure if I set her up too close or far but she got those weaves and wrapped around how I planned :D fab run ending up 19th. Next agility really flowing course just missed dog walk contact so ended up 18th. Last run of the day which if Bella is going to go clear its normally this one lol She was a star managed to rear cross at the tunnel with a little bit of a stutter but getting there getting 7th place.
All in all a fantastic weekend loads of great results from club members some of which where their first show and Bella well what can I say shes just great I'm so lucky to have her and that she gives every run her all :D

Scunthorpe O&ATC

We where still in a bit of shock after last weekend so now we have a few shows we can relax and have decided to try out a few things I wouldn't normally do in the ring to prove to myself we can do it. First outdoor show of the season and Bella exploded over the first jumping course it was easier to count the poles up them on the floor!!!!! I also got in the wrong place so just a lets forget that one round hahaha We then had a 1-4 jumping where she rang much better but I tried to rear and front cross at a corner which was too much so she pulled out and we got E'd but she flew even around the flick flack shes in beautiful form atm. Next was agility a couple of traps and a funny angle over the long jump she flew just knocking a pole as I called her off the tunnel and she told me she heard me lol Didn't expect to come anywhere as some speedy dogs, but we got 2nd as only 1 clear round!!!!!! Last run of the day was agility very tight loads of traps and work just what we love unfortunately couldn't get a wait on the start and she stepped onto the A frame so we where E'd but she got her contacts even the down walk going into a tunnel which is usually so temping. Another good day looking forward to camping next weekend at Lincoln.

Hare N Hounds 3rd April

I really wasn't looking forward to today as much as I should have been as woke up with a stiff neck and couldn't turn properly, having a 2hr drive at half 5 didn't make me feel much better but then it all changed. First run of the day was agility, lovely course no weaves either we don't have the best track record of first runs so I just went in hoping to get Bellas contacts and not rush her down the straight line thus knocking a pole. Well she ran like a dream I really struggled to stay calm right to that last pole and wooo we have finally done it a KC agility clear amazing :D I did a little jump for joy on the finish its been a lone time waiting, Jules came and told it was a lovely run too. We had strict instructions off Sal not to look and spoil it but with some many lovely friends there it couldn't be helped as they where all so excited for us yes it was 1st place taking us into grade 2!!!!!! and doing it in style with a 7 sec margin. I didn't care how we did the rest of the day as I just couldn't seem to stop grinning lol We had an E in agility but she ran so well getting her contacts and zooming through the weaves with a real wiggle on and got 8th in jumping it 10F!!!!!!! as she knocked a pole and popped her weaves twice so glad I made her do them instead of letting her finish and get E'd. Was a fab day worth the early start and neck ache any day :D
